Mother and Baby Yoga classes are a lovely way to move, stretch and relax with baby. I provide a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere where the class is completely baby lead. Depending on how babies are on the day, some may be engaged and ready to join in, others may be feeding, I tend to mix the class up so there is always something for baby and something for mom! The class combines massage, movement, rhymes and sensory play for baby and some yoga for yourself too! We preactice a series of postures and sequences for postnatal recovery, helping to build strength and ease the body back into exercise. Movements for baby are a great way to encourage physical and cognitive development and help with wind and colic too.
Most importantly of all we have fun with our babies whilst doing something for yourself!
All parents and carers are welcome at classes and you don't need any previous experience to join in. I recommend you attend from when baby is around 8-12 weeks old depending on their head control and also if you have had a caesarean.
